Ticketless Parking at ECQ

10 July 2025

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing your experience, Eastern Creek Quarter is introducing a new ticketless parking system. This upgrade is designed to make your visits easier, faster, and more accessible.

We’ve listened to your feedback about parking availability and other challenges, and we’re taking action to improve these areas to better serve our community as ECQ continues to grow and evolve.

This change also supports the future opening of ECQ Outlet in March 2026, which will bring 1,100 new car spaces, including ground-level and approximately 300 basement parking spaces.

Installation is now underway, with the new system expected to be fully operational by the end of 2025.

Parking will remain free during this period, and we’ll provide plenty of advance notice before paid parking rates commence.

Key Features:

  • Effortless Entry & Exit: Your number plate will be your pass, no need for paper tickets.
  • Ample Parking Availability: Optimised turnover ensures more spaces when you visit.
  • Free Parking: Free parking periods will still apply, and parking will be free after 6:00 pm.

How It Works:

1. Drive In: Cameras will automatically recognise your vehicle's registration number upon entry.
2. Enjoy Your Visit: No tickets required. Shop, dine and relax at your leisure.
3. Drive Out: Your number plate will be scanned at exit for a seamless departure.
4. Payment: If your stay exceeds the free parking period, conveniently pay at the digital pay machines or at the exit gates.

What You Need to Know

Installation began in July and will happen in stages over several months.

  • From mid-July to late September
You will only be able to enter and exit the centre via the Eastern Entry (Cable Place cul-de-sac). The Southern Entry (off the roundabout) will be closed during this time.
  • From late September to November
You will only be able to enter and exit the centre via the Southern Entry (off the roundabout). The Eastern Entry will be closed during this stage of works.

While most of the car park will remain accessible, some temporary disruptions are expected during installation.

We’re working hard to minimise inconvenience. Traffic control personnel and clear signage will guide you throughout.

FAQs – Ticketless Parking at ECQ

The new system is being introduced to help improve traffic flow, reduce misuse of car spaces, and make it easier for customers to find parking during busy times to manage increased visitation as the centre grows. ECQ Outlet will accommodate an additional 1,100 new parking spaces to ECQ.

To ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently, ECQ has appointed Christie’s Civil, an experienced external contractor, to manage the installation and associated traffic changes on site.

Additionally, ECQ has partnered with Point Parking to manage the new ticketless parking system. Point Parking will be responsible for all aspects related to parking payments and license plate data.

During the installation period, there may be temporary changes to traffic flow and parking bay availability. Traffic controllers and signage will be in place to help guide you.

We will provide regular updates through the ECQ website, signage, and other communication channels to keep you informed.

It’s a good idea to allow a few extra minutes during the construction period, especially during peak times. While most of the car park will remain open, some areas may have temporary access changes. We'll keep you updated throughout the process so you can plan ahead.

These spaces will be temporarily reduced from mid-July to early August. Signage and staff will direct customers to the closest alternatives.

New Parking System

The new system will help reduce congestion and improve turnover, meaning more spaces will be available for ECQ customers.

Your number plate will be your pass. Cameras will automatically scan your vehicle upon entry and exit, so there’s no need for paper tickets.

Installation began in July 2025 and is being managed by Christie’s Civil. The system is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2025. Parking will remain free during this period, and we’ll provide plenty of advance notice before paid parking begins.

Yes. Parking will remain free for all visitors while the system is being installed. We will provide advance notice before paid parking rates commence.

Disability Parking Permit holders will receive unlimited free parking at ECQ. Once the new ticketless parking system is live, we’ll share details on how to register your permit to ensure free access remains seamless.

Rates will be confirmed closer to launch and will be clearly communicated before paid parking begins.

You will be able to check your parking duration by entering your license plate number at any digital pay machines located within the centre.

There will be two easy ways to pay:

  • At a digital pay machine by entering your licence plate number
  • Using tap-and-go (payWave) at the exit gate

Digital pay machine locations will be confirmed closer to launch

Your licence plate is your ticket, so it’s important to remember it. We recommend taking a photo of it with your phone before entering the centre.

The system is secure, and all data is handled in accordance with the Point Parking Privacy Policy. Point Parking is responsible for handling all customer data related to your payments and licence plate data.
